Built a simulation-oriented command-line project with two analysis modes: a planetary trajectory model under Newtonian gravity using Euler integration, and a local geometry mode based on sphere-assisted ray marching and collision reasoning.
Interstonar runs in two modes that share a spatial-reasoning core. Global mode integrates the trajectory of a thrown rock through a planetary scene under Newtonian gravity, using Euler integration for state updates and handling collisions with body-merging rules. Local mode switches to a signed-distance style formulation and marches a ray through a scene of spheres, cylinders, boxes and tori to determine what the rock actually intersects. The project is about numerical methods and geometry rather than product polish.
An exercise in turning physical and geometric reasoning into code that has to stay numerically well behaved over many integration steps.
